DeCanio joined the Pahrump Nugget in January 2007 and has served as Casino Host. Three years later, DeCanio was promoted to Player’s Club Supervisor.

As Casino Host, DeCanio is responsible for generating a positive and friendly atmosphere for all casino guests, promoting the play and frequency of identified slot and table game players, maintaining the integrity of all promotional programs through verification of information. She also maintains guest information assuring the highest standards of data entry including establishing new accounts, issuing rewards and comp vouchers to guests based on their gaming play.

In her new role as Player’s Club Supervisor, DeCanio will support/assist Player’s Club Manager with preparations and coordination on all casino promotions, reports and correspondence preparations.

Prior to joining the Pahrump Nugget, DeCanio worked with HCA-The Healthcare Company as a Refunds Analyst wherein she was responsible for reviewing reimbursement to resolve credit balances. Also she initiated refunds or identified overpayments to clear credit balances, and prepared Medicare credit balances for quarterly report. DeCanio also dedicated her five years at Sierra Health Services, Inc. While she was with the company, she played the role as Production Technician III and she was responsible for the preparation, production and tracking of Contracts and Amendments for all Sierra Health Services regions. DeCanio’s work history also includes time with the Philippine Refining Company (Manila, Philippines) where she held a position as Research Analyst.

In her spare time, DeCanio enjoys long walks, working on her computer or attempting to hit a golf ball at the golf range.

DeCanio attended National University (Manila, Philippines) where she received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
